Solman was a kidnapped prisoner by the famed Guerrilla Warfare on a hot summer day on one of the Caribbean’s outlying islands as he was unwinding on a modest but pricey vacation trip (GW). Solman arranged his own release in exchange for the safe delivery of three more hostages within a 24-hour period after overhearing his captors discussing the allocation of the ransom money. And deliver he did, equipped only with cash, charm, and a vocabulary usually reserved for the most dreadful cult leaders. The GW secured a place for Solman among them after being astounded by his lack of sympathy for his fellow tourists and his ability to provide a consistent flow of “ransom units” (people). Solman had already won the game before it had even begun, holding the biggest percentage of hostage random money of any GW member.
